lacs de vens 2 days

Amazing scenery in the high mountains close to col de la bonnette . Start at col de fouches , quick decent in the valley - followed by a travers of a typical high mountain valley: grass, sheep, marmottes and rivers. 
Way up to the first lac de Morgon -track is not well indicated - path needs to be followed (not the GR one).  On the left to the lake there is the path to go to the other Morgons lakes  one needs to follow the marks left by other hikers . continue the same way - not marked until getting to Pas de Morgon (2714 m). One can climb a bit and go to the mountain top -on the italian border-2750 m.  From there continue on te path on the peaks  until getting to col du fer (2584 m). Amazing view on Italy and France. Continue the path -1 h to refuge de Vens  - passing Aigulles  de Tortise and a quick decent to the refuge de vens and its waterfall and lakes. Spent the night around the lake .  Refuge offers water refill and food - cake with blueberry and soups .  Amazing sunset over the mountains and  also surprising views in the morning sun. Way back the send day - after a small tour of the lacs de vens - taking the path on the other mountain side to go back towards the refuge - but at the crossroad continue towards maison forestier du Tortisse. Long walk along the side of the mountain -and then a  quick decent towards the valley.  Continue the same path as towards le Pra - yet instead of doing the full descend - take the small path- not indicated to reach the lacs de morgons.Path is quite hard to see .lots of vegetation - and climbing rocks - around 400 m up to reach the fist lake. From here small  ascent to the second lake , before reaching the one where we the day before .Enjoy a small beak before taking the same road back towards col de Fourches.  Treck is not too hard, yet is long - almost 12 km in the first day an 14 km  the second one. Lots of up and down along the path and the final way up of 30 min to col de furches for tired legs is a challenge.
