Beautiful hike in Val de Rhemes - part of Gran Paradiso parc. There is a big parking - passing through the marmite valley- where there are really a lot of marmots and cows, Follow the signs to refuge Benevolo- nice walk next to the river , with beautiful waterfalls. One has the option to go on the road ..used by the 4x4 s and bicycles to get to the refuge . One last climb next to a beautiful waterfall and we reach the refuge. This offers food and drinks- toilets and water spring . Starting point for several tracks of various levels. We did the Belvedere tour - fro refuge Benevolo- to refuge du fond a vacherie in fact . Continue through the field, following the rivier uphill. path is indicated with yellow. You will see a lot of marmots and the amazing view of the glaciers in front of you. On the right there is Granta Parei (the mountain like wall) with an amazing waterfall - very strong . Take the path towards the waterfall and continue the tour . We found the rare flowers<stele alpine> next to the path . We continued up - getting to the base of the Grants Parei. From there you need to continue the descent back to refuge Benevolo. Path is well indicated- yet there is a part with cords - so don't look down . After 40 min of decent you reach the refuge and can continue the descent to the car.
