Le grand Ballon

Visit the highest peak in the Vosges, at 1424m above sea level!
You can go through the memorial, then go to the civil aviation radar (building with its white sphere) which offers a 360-degree view and an orientation table, continue to the viewpoint which gives towards the northeast, with the hotel, restaurant and summer toboggan run.

You can then extend the walk which completely bypasses the summit, and see the Lac du Ballon and the surrounding peaks.

Be careful, in winter and in snowy weather, some access roads to the peak are not always possible by car, even with chains.
