The peak of Cap Roux is one of the most beautiful panoramas offered by the Estérel, with its 360-degree view of the coast and its characteristic massifs: its red rocks contrasting with the color of the vegetation and the sea give a dazzling result. ! The hike begins with a few steps which will lead to the small chapel erected in a rock, then you will pass in front of the fountain. The winding path will take you to a holy balm (which means cave), the one that the hermit Honorat lived in for some time before founding his monastery on the island of Lérins. By retracing your steps slightly, you will then begin the ascent of Cap Roux. At the highest point, an orientation table will provide you with information on the surrounding landscape. In particular, you will have a beautiful view of the Rocher Saint-Barthélemy and the Côte d'Azur. The return journey, via the Cap Roux pass (with its large rock split in two), will be less arduous.
