This average hike will allow you to admire the old ocher quarries of Provençal Colorado which were once used as pigments for pottery, ceramics, dyes .... These old quarries no longer in activity and open to visitors, you can discover these rare and unique geological phenomena all along your route.

In order not to damage this remarkable site, visitors are asked not to leave the trails.

This extended version of the Colorado Provencal Rustrel hike will allow you to visit other old ocher quarries in Provencal Colorado and then make the small tourist loop.
