The route continues along the Forts hiking trail, up to a small chapel. Afterwards, you enter the village of Essert and follow the canal from Montbéliard to the Haute-Saône to the Parc de la Douce. We end with a passage through the residential districts of Bavillier to reach the starting point.

Note: Picnic areas and a sloping mountain bike trail are set up around the fort.
